يوجه رسائل لبرلمانات العالم لإنقاذ حياة الأسير كمال أبو وعر

طالب المجلس الوطني الفلسطيني، برلمانات العالم واتحاداته، بالتدخل العاجل لإنقاذ حياة الأسير كمال أبو وعر (46 عاما) المصاب بالسرطان وفيروس كورونا.

وحذر المجلس الوطني عبر رسائل متطابقة وجهها رئيسه سليم الزعنون، هذه البرلمانات والاتحادات من أنّ حياة الأسير أبو وعر المعتقل منذ 18 عاما في خطر شديد، وتستدعي تدخلا فوريا لإنقاذها، فهو مصاب بورم سرطاني في الحنجرة، وأصيب مؤخرا بفيروس كورونا، وهو الآن يعاني من تدهور خطير على حالته الصحية، وبحاجة ماسة لتلقي العلاج المناسب.

وأضاف المجلس في رسائله الى أن حياة قرابة (700) أسير مريض، منهم (300) أسير يعانون أمراضاً مزمنة وفي خطر شديد، و معرضين للإصابة بفيروس كورنا، مما يتطلب سرعة التحرك لإنقاذ حياتهم، والافراج عنهم.

وأشار المجلس الى أنه رغم انتشار وباء "كورونا"، لم يتغير الحال، حيث لم تتّخذ إدارة السّجون الاسرائيلية الإجراءات الصحية اللازمة لحماية الأسرى الفلسطينيين، مما يرفع درجة الخشية والقلق لديهم وعليهم، في ظلّ غياب التواصل بينهم وبين عائلاتهم.

وقال المجلس: إنّ مستوى الاستهتار الاسرائيلي بحياة هؤلاء الاسرى وصل لدرجة فقدان (12) منهم حياتهم داخل سجون الاحتلال خلال العامين الأخيرين بسبب سياسة الإهمال الطبي المتعمد، ليصل عدد ضحايا هذه السياسة إلى (69)، من بين (224) أسيرا ارتقوا شهداء في هذه السجون منذ الاحتلال عام 1967.

وأكد المجلس أهمية إنفاذ اتفاقيات جنيف ذات الصلة على الأسرى والمعتقلين الفلسطينيين في سجون الاحتلال، وأن تتحمل المؤسسات الحقوقية والانسانية، الإقليمية والدولية، وبرلمانات العالم، مسؤولياتها القانونية والإنسانية والأخلاقية تجاه هؤلاء الأسرى، وأن تتحرك بشكل عاجل للإفراج عنهم، ووضع حد لهذا الاستهتار بحياة (4700) أسير فلسطيني، بينهم (41) اسيرة، و(160) طفلا، ومئات المرضى وكبار السن.

PNC called on the parliaments of the world and their unions to intervene urgently to save the life of the prisoner, Kamal Abu Wa’ar, who suffers from cancer and COVID-19

Through identical messages, PNC Speaker, Mr. Saleem Al-Za’anoun, addressed to the parliaments and unions warned that the life of the prisoner "Abu Wa’ar", who has been detained for 18 years, is in severe danger, and calls for immediate intervention to save his life. "Abu Wa’ar" suffers from a drastic deterioration of his health, and is in urgent need of proper treatment.

We call on parliaments and unions, in the name of thousands of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, who are subjected to physical and psychological torture, deteriorating health conditions and outbreaks of serious and chronic diseases, to urgently intervene to release the prisoner Mr. "Kamal Abu Wa’ar" (46 years) and his fellow patients and the elderly.

In its letters, PNC added that the lives of approximately (700) sick prisoners, of whom (300) are prisoners suffering from chronic diseases, and are at high risk of contracting the COVID-19, which requires quick action to save their lives and release them.

PNC noted that despite the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation did not show a positive change, as the Israeli Prison Administration has not taken the necessary health measures to protect Palestinian prisoners, which raises the level of fear and anxiety for them, in the absence of communication between them and their families.

The level of Israeli disregard for the lives of the Palestinian prisoners reached to the point that (12) prisoners lost their lives inside the occupation prisons during the past two years, PNC said, due to the policy of deliberate medical negligence, bringing the number of victims of this policy to (69), out of (224) prisoners who are the martyrs in prisons since the Israeli occupation in 1967.

PNC affirmed that it’s the time to implement the relevant Geneva Conventions on Palestinian prisoners and detainees in occupation Israeli prisons, and that regional and international human rights and humanitarian institutions and parliaments of the world assume their legal, humanitarian and moral responsibilities towards these prisoners, and act urgently to release them to put an end to this Israeli disregard for the lives of ( 4700) Palestinian prisoners, among them (41) female prisoners, (160) children, hundreds of patients and the elderly
